Questions we get asked
Do I need a safety consultant if I only have a handful of employees?
Possibly not. The level of support a business needs varies enormously. Some small operations need a written program and a periodic review rather than a monthly retainer. We will tell you if that is your situation rather than selling you something larger.
How is this different from hiring a safety manager?
A full-time safety director is a six-figure commitment before benefits. A retainer gives you the same expertise on the schedule your operation actually needs, month to month, with 30-day cancellation. Most businesses under 200 employees do not have enough safety work to justify a full-time hire, but they still carry substantial OSHA obligations — and those obligations do not go away because nobody has time for them.
Do you offer OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 courses?
Not at this time. We do not currently have an authorized OSHA Outreach trainer for those courses, so we do not offer them. We do offer CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, along with site-specific safety orientations, toolbox talks, and hazard-awareness training. If you need a course we cannot deliver, we will tell you honestly rather than improvising.
Our customer is asking for safety documentation we do not have. Can you help?
Usually, yes. Written programs, job safety analyses, and site-specific documentation are core work for us. Tell us exactly what is being asked for and we will tell you what we can prepare and what falls outside our scope.
What happens if OSHA shows up at our site?
Call us. Inspection support is available to retainer clients, and we will help you work through it as quickly as we are able to reach you. What you do early in an inspection matters, so the sooner you call the more we can help.
What does it cost?
Retainers are priced by the level of support your operation needs, and we quote them after the free consultation rather than from a price list. Every operation is different, and a number without context tends to be the wrong number. The consultation itself costs nothing and carries no obligation.
